Data Backup Solutions

Follow our best practices for data storage to keep your files safe!

One of your business’ most important assets is your data. Most of your data should be stored on your server to ensure that all files are backed up and secure. However, we understand that users remove files from the server to work on them or save files solely on their individual workstation.

Unfortunately, many users never think to save files to the server. It might not seem like a big deal, doing this puts your data at risk!

While we provide backup services for your business, we do not back up all the documents, pictures, or important files saved on each individual workstation.

What Data Is Backed Up?

Files Stored On Your Business Server

Any files saved inside your:

Public (P:) Drive

User (U:) Drive

What Data Is Not Backed Up?

Any files saved on your desktop or laptop

Any programs on your desktop or laptop

Your Emails, Calendar, and To-Do List

Your Address Book

If you need any of the above backed up, here are couple of solutions to help you quickly save your documents:

Save your important documents in your User (U:) drive.

Your User Drive (U:) is located on your business’ server and is backed up daily! See the .GIF below for an example on how to backup your documents to your User Drive:

Utilize programs like OneDrive, Google Drive, or Dropbox!

These programs are perfect for backing up files on your desktop that you don’t want to risk losing.

Have a USB thumb drive handy to save additional copies of your data as well.
